About This Cat:
Found in undercarriage of car. Hungry, thirsty, eating and drinking and purring almost constantlly. Have an appt at Dr. Joe's for our cat tomorrow and plan to take this kitten in, too. Hoping they'll give is a freebie exam and scan for chip. Kitty is loving but not playful, skinny, rounded belly but no worms seen yet, maybe just malnourished. No clearly evident injury. Tries to spray sometimes, but nothing comes out, at least 4 months old, I'd guess. We have a good friend who may want to give him a home, just want him examined first. Can't really afford to pay for exam of both our cat and this new kitten, whom we are calling Tribble.

🐾 Working Cat Program
Not every cat is looking for a couch.
Some community cats are happiest living outdoors with room to roam and a safe place to call home. Our Working Cat Program helps connect suitable cats with responsible people who can provide a barn, stable, workshop, garage, outbuilding, or other appropriate setting.
Working cats may be feral or semi-feral cats that are not comfortable living as traditional indoor pets. A working home gives these cats another opportunity for a safe and productive life.
What Does a Working Cat Need?
A working cat caretaker agrees to provide:
- Fresh food and water every day
- A safe, weather-protected place to sleep and shelter
- Appropriate veterinary care when needed
- A safe environment away from serious hazards
- A secure acclimation area while the cat learns that this is its new home
Have Room for a Working Cat?
You don't have to wait until a working cat is available. You can apply to become a potential Working Cat Home and we'll keep your information available when a suitable cat needs placement.
A barn, workshop or outbuilding could become someone's forever home.
