It Started With 15

Lavender's Cat Rescue didn't begin with a building, a business plan, or a dream of starting an animal rescue.

It started with 15 cats.

Cats had been abandoned in the woods near Lavender's home. Someone had left them behind, apparently expecting them to somehow survive on their own.

Lavender couldn't simply look the other way.

What began with feeding and caring for those first cats soon became something much bigger. There were more cats that needed help. Some were frightened. Some were hungry. Some needed medical attention. Others simply needed time, patience, and a safe place where they could learn to trust people again.

And one cat at a time, a rescue was born.

From 15 Cats to a Mission

Lavender's Cat Rescue grew from a simple belief:

When an animal has been abandoned, its story shouldn't have to end there.

Today, that same compassion guides what we do — helping cats in need, providing care and safety, and whenever possible, giving them the opportunity to find a loving home.

We can't save every cat.

But for the ones we can reach, we can change everything.

Every Cat Has a Story

Some arrive through unexpected circumstances. Some have been abandoned. Others simply find themselves without anyone to care for them.

Whatever brought them here, they deserve food, shelter, medical care when needed, and most importantly, the chance to feel safe again.

That's what Lavender's Cat Rescue is about.

Rescue. Rehabilitate. Rehome.

And it all started with 15.
